What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Space Housekeeping Manager position at The Boar's Head Resort?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Space Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our public spaces, laundry and linen inventories, chemical room, uniform room, inventory and supplies, hallways carpet and upholstery care, floor care, and other assigned responsibilities. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Director of Housekeeping and ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout our establishment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Follow Boar's Head Resort CORE and uphold Forbes Travel Guide luxury standards throughout all guest interactions and every service delivery.
- Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff in maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, including but not limited to hallways, lobby, dining areas, and recreation areas.
- Manage the inventory and ordering of supplies for laundry, linen, chemicals, and uniforms.
- Ensure proper maintenance of carpeting, upholstery, and flooring in public areas.
- Implement and maintain cleaning schedules to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards.
- Train and develop housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of Housekeeping to implement new cleaning initiatives and procedures.
- Handle any guest complaints or concerns regarding cleanliness in public areas.
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control costs within the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Housekeeping.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and continually seek opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and service excellence.
