The Boat House of Chicago is looking for an energetic and positive Fuel Attendant / Cashier to serve our customers with pride and a smile.
While the marine industry is an energetic, sporty and fun, the ability to offer that professional touch while being casual is essential for success. This position does require weekend hours.
The ideal candidate will :
- Conduct any customer interaction with courtesy and respect.
- Provide customer service and assistance for fuel dock and dock store purchases, including handling cash, credit and internal account processing.
- Follow safety rules and regulations. Regularly monitor fuel levels for gas and diesel supply tanks to ensure continuous supply. Keep manager informed of fuel supply for re-order.
- Performs regular general clean-up / maintenance of fuel dock : fuel hoses properly stored and ready for use, dock clear of debris and unnecessary items and equipment, trash emptied on a regular basis, and trash disposed of in accordance with environmental and OSHA regulations.
- Perform role with the mindset to use the necessary supplies for success without overuse or waste.
- Keep work area neat, clean and organized at all times.
- Keep equipment / tools in good working order. Notify supervisor when equipment / tools need repair or replacement.
- Attend all assigned meetings
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
