What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Detailer position at The Boat Place?
The Boat Place is looking for YOU to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida! We are looking for responsible candidates who love boats and enjoy working in the boating environment.
Skills not required but are a bonus:
- Prior experience working in a marine environment is a plus! Experience with buffing and waxing is a bonus!
- Must have a current and active driver’s license.
- Pay is commensurate with experience and training.
- Drug & Background Screening is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform final finish/detail on deliveries, in-stock and service boats, including cleaning windows, upholstery, canvas, isinglass, bilges, fiberglass, etc.
- Removing dust, grease and oil from exterior surfaces of boats and trailers.
- Knowledge of proper products for safe detailing of vessels properly including but not limited to cleaners for various surfaces, degreasers, and waxes.
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the dealership to ensure a professional work environment conducive to selling
- Assist with the setup/breakdown of boat shows and other off-site promotional events.
We are looking for an individual with a great attitude, enthusiasm for their profession and focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, During boat show season we need you to work some overtime at boat shows (show season November – March)
