Job Summary: The Boatyard Bar & Bistro, a vibrant new waterfront restaurant in Ottawa, IL, opening in April 2025, is seeking friendly and organized Hosts to join our team. As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional hospitality to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Assist with answering phones and taking reservations.
- Communicate effectively with the wait staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure guests are seated promptly and comfortably.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with care and professionalism.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the host station.
Qualifications:
