JOB SUMMARY
The role of Facilities Maintenance Manager will be to maintain and oversee all facilities in Glendale, Waukesha, and Chicago by executing proactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance measures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates and coordinates request for purchase (RFP) or business review documents (BRD) for large capital projects
Partners with vendors to obtain competitive pricing on new and existing contracts while building and maintaining relationships for the facilities.
Implements and oversees preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
Schedules and/or performs necessary preventive maintenance activities
Uses power tools, machine shop tools, hand tools, forklifts, scissor lift, and other mechanized equipment to complete projects.
Use of company trucks and vans will be necessary to perform work at various locations in Glendale, Waukesha, and Chicago.
Manage contractors on-site to ensure they meet legal and safety requirements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associates degree from a technical college and 3 years of experience, or 7 years of related experience preferred.
Ability to proficiently read and understand blueprints.
Must have a broad base knowledge of various maintenance disciplines including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, safety and fire protection, and HVAC.
Ability to read, write and speak English is a requirement of this position.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The ability to stand, squat, kneel, or repetitive motion for extended periods of time. Periodic heavy lifting may be required based on the nature of this work. The ability to work in elevated conditions up to 30’ above floor.
