Cost Accountant
Location: Mostly Remote in Bridgeton, Mo.

What You'll Do:
As a key member of the team, you’ll be the go-to expert for cost analysis and finance support. You’ll work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership to drive performance, improve profitability, and support strategic decisions.
- Analyze product and production costs (materials, labor, overhead) to ensure accurate standard costing
- Monitor and explain cost variances, including usage, rate, and efficiency issues
- Manage inventory valuation, COGS reporting, and BOM accuracy
- Assist with monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, and cost-related journal entries
- Lead or assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Partner with plant managers and production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure planning related to manufacturing operations
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cost drivers, and production flows
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
