We are helping a client to hire on a Senior FP&A and Treasury Analyst to join their finance team in Chicago.
This role is hybrid (with real working from home opportunities) back in the office downtown and is budgeted up to a base of $100,000-120,000 with 15% target annual bonus.
As a Senior FP&A and Treasury Analyst, you will develop financial models, conduct analysis, and manage cash operations while providing insights to leadership. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning processes
- Create and maintain advanced financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
- Experience with Cash Flow, Income Statements and Balance Sheets.
- Perform variance analysis between actual results and forecasts
- Oversee cash management and treasury operations
- Monitor and optimize working capital
- Support capital allocation decisions and investment analysis
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPI reporting
- Collaborate with accounting team on month-end close processes
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, treasury, or related finance roles
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in financial planning systems and ERP platforms
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements
- Experience with cash forecasting and treasury management
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to present financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or CTP certification
- Background in both corporate finance and treasury functions
- Any industry experience, as long as you have the right background
