Job Description
We are currently hiring a Packaging Material Planner in Breingsvielle,Pa
The Packaging Material Planner will be responsible for the ordering and scheduling of glass, glue, cartons, 6 pack carriers, and trays as well as other materials necessary to meet daily operations. This position will control inventory levels of all elements involved in producing cans so that the inventory stays within the safety stock levels set up for the brewery. The Material Planner will develop a working relationship with the Production Planner, Planning Manager, key vendors, and brewery personnel to ensure a smooth day to day planning operation. Will work in unison with the Production Planner to adjust ordering against updates and changes that are made to the Production Schedule daily. All transactions of receipts are processed through SAP and will be monitored for accuracy and verification based on delivery schedule
What You'll Brew:
Create accurate and timely PO’s for all inbound of glass related materials to support the daily production plan on a weekly basis
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: 2 years of relevant manufacturing and production planning experience with working knowledge of production planning
At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between 42,900.00 and 85,300.00 . However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for an discretionary annual bonus based on company and induvial performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance

What You'll Brew:
Create accurate and timely PO’s for all inbound of glass related materials to support the daily production plan on a weekly basis
- All materials will need to be reflected in an inbound spreadsheet that is shared with the operations teams while also utilizing SAP to track use of such materials
- Develop weekly delivery schedule for Glass by day and hour based on appointment time
- Monitor all inbound deliveries for adherence to schedule and escalate with delays or missed deliveries
- Trace any missing loads that have not been logged in against delivery schedule
- Work with Distribution and vendors to resolve any missing loads
- Verify that all inbound loads are documented via SAP receipt
- Any missing receipt will be identified from the inbound receiving schedule for proper processing
- Work with Inventory Management Team on physical inventory of Glass, Cans and Labels of any major discrepancy throughout the month
- Monitor inventory levels for Cans at outside storage facility that is needed to support the brewery on weekly basis
- Create any necessary STO for Can movement between outside warehouse and brewery to keep inventory in SAP accurate
- Keep BOM’s up to date for all Labels part number changes due to year and graphic changes
- Provide communication for upcoming Graphic changes on labels and cardboard throughout the
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: 2 years of relevant manufacturing and production planning experience with working knowledge of production planning
- Proficient with Computer Skills; Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with all levels of co-workers across departments
- Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
- Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
