What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant (temporary) position at The Boston Home?
As a 96-bed community for adults with multiple sclerosis and other advanced neurological disorders, The Boston Home's population is younger and more stable than many care facilities, with residents often joining the community in mid-life and residing for 20 years. You will enjoy the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with the residents for whom you care!
We offer free parking on a gated campus and are conveniently located near Routes 93, 203 and 28, as well as public transportation (walking distance from Ashmont T Station).
The primary responsibility for this position is to help younger adults with disabilities enjoy enriching recreational activities. You will assist with planning and facilitating group and individual activities to support resident care plans and promote social and emotional well-being.
This is a temporary 4-6 week position.
