About the Role (Extraction Lab Technician):
The Extraction Tech will perform processes including but not limited to use of short-chain single alkanes and ethanol as liquid solvents, as well as using a combination of pressure and heat to produce a line of solventless extracts, the removal of phospholipids, pesticide residuals, heavy metals, plant pigments, and other undesired compounds, distillation as well as formulating various products including but not limited to vapes, concentrates, tinctures, capsules and topicals.
How you’ll make a difference (required duties and responsibilities):
- Responsible for using a variety of techniques to extract and refine the medicinal components of the Cannabis plant for the Ohio Medical market.
- Responsible for following and maintaining inventory tracking systems and utilizing proper forms to track and log all extraction inputs and finished extraction products.
- Collect samples to submit for analytical testing.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining all lab equipment and notifying lead of issues, should they be found
- Proper usage, maintenance and storage of all lab tools, equipment and material.
- Responsible for following policies & procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with Ohio’s medical marijuana regulations.
- Assists in completing other secondary production/processing tasks at the discretion of the Extraction Manager according to company needs.
Skills to be Successful (minimum qualifications):
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of various extraction and refinement methods preferred.
- Lab experience.
- Must be able to follow directions with the utmost precision and accuracy.
- Must bring a positive attitude in the work environment.

Schedule:
- Monday- Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Manufacturing environment that requires extended time standing, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50lbs for up to a distance of 100ft may be required. Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects. Ability to work in a humid and pollinated environment.
