FunctionThe Sector Partnership & Workforce Development Coordinator will convene sector partnerships and supports initiatives related to workforce development and economic vitality (EV) within the Boulder Chamber and
Boulder Economic Council.

A portion of this role is connected to an existing State-level grant that terminates at the end of 2025.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral Coordination of Sector Partnerships
  • Researches, maintains, and cultivates key employers and primary database for various sectors of business
  • Cultivates ‘action teams’ or leaders within larger groups
  • Leads logistics of various sector meeting locations; provides refreshments, discussion tools, and resources as needed
  • Schedules and sends out announcements pertaining to upcoming meetings; consistently highlighting developed resources
  • Holds planning sessions with business leaders and key support partners to develop agenda and plan for partnership meetings
  • Holds partners accountable for accomplishing tasks within established timeframe
  • Ensure meetings have measurable outcomes and address initiatives related to work-based learning, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and overall engagement
  • Have a plan to distribute meeting invitations, summaries, and communications in a timely manner
  • Work with other EV staff and sector partnership / business leaders to assist regional employers on workforce development solutions and program implementation

Sector Partnership Communication
  • Serves as a point of contact for both business leaders and public partners for the sector partnership, acting as an information hub to connect and network partnership participants
  • Keeps track of the partnership’s written action plan, distributing
updates after full partnership or action team meetings
  • Coordinates with EV staff and other partnership participants to clearly promote priorities, outcomes, and engagement metrics

Workforce Development Programming
  • Assist in the leadership of community workforce groups – Boulder County Talent Collaborative
  • Help manage internal workforce development project calendar and priorities schedule
  • Work with regional employers and partners on workforce development solutions and program implementation
 
  • Assist in the research and development of strategic grants related to workforce and sector partnerships
  • Assist with the management of workforce development events, including job fairs, career exploration events, Skillful training series, business tours, workforce lunch and learns, etc.
  • Assist in the expansion of the Boulder Chamber’s role as an
                apprenticeship intermediary.
  • Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience2 years of experience in project / program work preferred, but not required

Project Coordination – Implement priorities, processes, contracts, timelines and task deliverables across a variety of overlapping projects.
Business Development – Form and nurture long-term partnerships that lead to growth opportunities within and between organizations.
Customer Service – Maintain a high level of engagement, empathy, problem- solving and communication with internal and external constituents to ensure an excellent experience with the Boulder Chamber and promote a collaborative work environment.

Organization and Multi-tasking - be able to organize in a thorough and detail-oriented way to carry out various tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines.

Must be able to interact well with others, and support Boulder Chamber’s priorities around diversity and inclusivity; bilingual/ bicultural applicants encouraged.

Technological Proficiency – knowledge of comfort with technology including CRM platforms (Salesforce a plus), website tools, social media tools, and video engagement systems.

Public Speaking and Presentation – Excellent written, phone and verbal communication abilities that command audience respect as a content authority.

Grant Facilitation – Follow grant guidelines, track grant deliverables and deliver grant reporting requirements. Develop grant materials as needed.

Data Collection and Interpretation – Understanding of economic, workforce, demographic data collection; and a strong ability to collect, interpret and tell a meaningful story using the data.

Knowledge of local and regional workforce environment – Understanding of the Boulder regional workforce development landscape, as well as the key regional partners and factors that impact Boulder’s economy.



 
Working ConditionsPosition requires flexibility to work occasional early morning and evening
hours for meetings and events. Hybrid working model (Office work and work from home, is set case-by-case, and is determined with your manager and overall objective of the Boulder Chamber.

Probation Period: There is a maximum duration of 3 months' probation period. During the probationary period, both the employee and the employer may terminate the employment contract at any time with one week’s notice.
 These conditions apply to both full-time, part-time, and fixed-term and permanent contracts

Typical Physical
Demands
Operate normal business office equipment. Must be able to travel efficiently
to off-site meeting locations throughout the Boulder area.
Must be available to work in the office, at offsite business meetings or other required meetings, during normal working hours including some before and after hours as needed. Normal business hours are typically 8-5pm. With expectation that ½ for lunch and 2 fifteen-minute breaks are included.
 
Compensation $22 - $27/ hour dependent upon experience.  This role includes the opportunity for incentives or bonuses, which are not guaranteed and depend on overall company performance and individual contribution and length of service.
