Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and care.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their inquiries.
• Upsell products by promoting special offers and demonstrating product features during checkout.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
• Stock shelves as needed to ensure product availability for customers.
• Assist in product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in cash handling and operating a cash register.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance sales opportunities.
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is preferred but not required.
• Excellent phone etiquette for any customer inquiries received via phone.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
