Senior Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Role Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of high-profile data center construction projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, on time, and on budget. This role involves leadership, financial management, client satisfaction, and mentorship of project teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing mission-critical or large-scale construction projects and will bring a strong background in Commercial, Government, Education, or Healthcare construction.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Leadership:
- Lead and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, architects, and subcontractors, building strong, positive relationships.
Project Management:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, procurement, and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Manage pay requests, change orders, RFIs, and submittals efficiently.
- Enforce safety protocols and oversee QA/QC programs to deliver superior project quality.
Financial Oversight:
- Maintain full P&L responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Monitor and control costs while identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality or safety.
Team Development:
- Mentor and develop project team members, ensuring professional growth and alignment with project goals.
- Provide timely feedback and performance evaluations to enhance team effectiveness.
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources effectively, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for timely delivery.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects, with budgets ranging from $20-100 million or more.
- Proven expertise in mission-critical or data center projects is required.
- Experience in Commercial, Government, Education, or Healthcare construction sectors is preferred.
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong technical and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects.
- Extensive experience managing data center or mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost reporting, scheduling, and contract management.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and QA/QC standards.
