What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate, Part Time at Carney Antique Store position at The Bowery of Antiques and Collectibles, Inc?
We are a busy antique store in Carney looking to fill a part time position, Wednesday-Saturday. We are looking for a mature individual (retired or semi-retired welcome!), who is detail oriented, responsible, punctual & reliable; someone who is willing to be a team player and help out with all positions within the store when needed.
Duties:
- answering phone calls and scheduling appointments when needed.
- attending to front counter and processing customers payments
- cleaning incoming merchandise
- packing and shipping items from online store, if needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift a maximum of 30 lbs. required.
- Must be able to use a ladder, bend and stoop to retrieve stock.
- Must have visual acuity and be able to use a basic point of sale system.
- When needed, must be able to stand and move about the store for full shifts (shifts are typically 8 hours). ·
- Ability to work the following weekly work schedule:
- Monday through Wednesday or Thursday through Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
- Excellent organization and communication skills required.
- Basic English literacy, math and PC skills are required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
