Sales Associate/Cashier

The Box Store, a locally owned and operated business since 2013, provides packaging solutions to help customers safely and securely ship or move their belongings. We are dedicated to offering exceptional customer service while providing a wide variety of products such as moving boxes, packaging materials, and moving supplies. We aim to make the moving experience as stress-free as possible, ensuring that each customer feels supported throughout the process.

Position Overview:

Part Time: Current available shifts are Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:45am - 5:45pm. Ability to obtain more hours by covering other employees shifts if/when they become available.

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and self motivated. You will be the face of our store, helping customers choose the right products, assisting with purchases, answering the phone, and handling deliveries. Knowledge of the products we offer (boxes, moving/moving/shipping supplies) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors of The Box Store.

• Answer phones promptly and professionally, assisting with customer inquiries and orders.

• Assist customers in selecting appropriate packaging materials and moving supplies.

• Process transactions quickly and accurately using our point-of-sale system.

• Help carry boxes and load them into customers’ vehicles as needed.

• Handle deliveries that may require moderate lifting.

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor.

• Ensure inventory is stocked and properly displayed.

• Answer questions and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

• Promote sales of additional products such as tape, bubble wrap, and packing paper.

• Support the team by completing other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn about our products.

• Ability to lift and carry boxes and heavy items.

• Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.

• Basic math skills for processing transactions.

• Positive attitude and willingness to help others.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
