What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at The Bradley Gardens?
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join The Bradley Gardens, a Generations Healthcare facility. The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Business Office Manager in accounting functions, ensuring compliance with current accounting principles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Balance daily census with Nurses' census.
- Complete Treatment Authorization Requests and documentation for Medi-Cal benefits as needed.
- Enter and maintain account data on the accounting computer system.
- Research and perform collection activity on accounts, including claims submission and correspondence.
- Manage resident trust accounts and disburse funds as necessary.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as letters and phone calls.
- Assist Admissions Coordinator with admission paperwork.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proficient in English language (read, write, speak, understand).
- Previous experience in AP, Payroll, or Healthcare facility bookkeeping.
