The Brand Guild is a full-service communications agency that crafts and tells the stories of some of the most exciting and iconic brands in the country. We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager with a refined aesthetic, deep creative expertise, and a great eye to drive social storytelling, content strategy, and digital engagement across platforms for our portfolio of lifestyle consumer and hospitality brands. This role requires a trend-savvy, visually sophisticated thinker who thrives at the intersection of brand storytelling, content creation, and audience engagement.
As a key leader within the social team, this individual will own the creative vision for social media, direct content production, and shape high-performing digital campaigns that elevate the many brands we work on. They will have a keen eye for detail, a pulse on emerging cultural and design trends, and a strategic mindset to translate brand narratives into compelling digital moments.
Note: This role can be based in our NYC or Washington, D.C. office.

You Will:
Creative & Content Leadership
- Define and execute the creative direction for social media, ensuring a visually compelling and brand-aligned presence across platforms.
- Produce high-end, visually striking content, including short-form video, photography, GIFs, and graphic assets.
- Lead and execute video shoots, video storytelling, and content styling, ensuring a refined, modern aesthetic.
- Develop best-in-class social templates, creative toolkits, and visual guidelines to scale content efficiently.
- Identify and activate innovative storytelling formats to engage audiences in fresh, meaningful ways.
Social Strategy & Execution
- Lead 5-7 accounts that span across national consumer brands, hotel properties, CRE, and more
- Craft editorial and campaign-driven content strategies, ensuring a cohesive narrative across platforms.
- Own production of 5-7 content calendars per month, balancing brand messaging, cultural moments, and real-time activations.
- Experiment with new content formats, aesthetic trends, and interactive features to push creative boundaries.
- Stay ahead of platform evolutions, trend cycles, and industry shifts, infusing innovation into every campaign.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with clients
- Oversee post scheduling, community management and back-end reporting for assigned accounts
Brand Growth & Community Engagement
- Apply an obsessive attention to detail to brand storytelling, ensuring every post is intentional, elevated, and impactful.
- Engage with a discerning, design-conscious audience, ensuring content resonates with high-taste-level consumers.
- Oversee influencer collaborations, UGC curation, and digital partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetic and values.
Analytics & Optimization
- Use performance insights to refine creative direction, content strategy, and campaign execution.
- Monitor engagement metrics, platform trends, and creative benchmarks to optimize content performance.
- Identify opportunities to test new creative approaches that increase audience connection and brand affinity.
You Have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing within a high-aesthetic agency environment (fashion, luxury, design, hospitality, beauty, etc.)
- Experience working in a client-facing role, preferably in an agency environment
- A portfolio of work you brought to life on social media
- Creative appreciation and understanding of strong art direction, photography, and design
- Exceptional visual storytelling and brand-building skills with a refined, high-end taste level.
- Hands-on experience with content production, video editing, and social media asset creation
- Proficiency in video editing and graphic design inAdobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and/or Canva, CapCut, or etc.
- Strong understanding of aesthetic-driven social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
- Passion for trend forecasting, digital culture, and emerging creative movements.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with brand, creative, PR, and marketing teams.
- Ability to define and message strategic initiatives to the client
