We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable function and ensure the timely collection of payments from clients. This role requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and Billing: Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Payment Tracking: Monitor incoming payments and ensure proper application to customer accounts.
- Collections: Follow up with clients on overdue invoices and work with them to resolve outstanding issues.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and other financial summaries as required.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for customer billing inquiries and disputes.
- Credit Management: Assist in assessing the creditworthiness of new clients and setting appropriate credit limits.
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to the accounts receivable processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounts receivable role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). Must be proficient in learning new software.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
