Food & Beverage Manager
We are seeking an experienced and organized Food and Beverage Director to join our team! The Food and Beverage Director will be responsible for the overall management, planning, and execution of all F&B operations for a variety of establishments incorporated within Chair 5 restaurant in The Break Hotel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for personnel management, budgeting, and customer service, as well as ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience for all guests. Chair 5 bistro & rooftop are both located in The Break Hotel. The two dining areas are the bistro on the 1st floor of the hotel which seats roughly 50 guests, and our rooftop lounge which seats roughly 50 guests including outdoor seating and ocean views. You will be responsible for the management and operations being open 7 days a week, and providing breakfast daily each morning for overnight hotel guests, in coordination with the hotel General Managers.

This position reports directly to the hotel General Managers.
Food and Beverage Director Duties and Responsibilities
-Oversee F&B operations, including dining venues, bars, and event/banquet services
-Promoting highest level of hospitality towards employees and guests
-Create Menus that are balanced and make sense for the business, ensuring the menus are profitable and enticing to customers
-Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
-Interview, hire, train, schedule staff, including shift supervisors. Evaluate staff performance, and provide feedback and disciplinary action when needed
-Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty and integrity, leads by example.
-Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
-Stays aware of market trends and introduces new food and beverage products to meet or exceed customer expectations, generate increased revenue, and ensure a competitive position in the market.
-Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for food & beverage needs & expenses
-Monitor vendor and supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
-Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes with vendors
-Conduct quality checks on food products & presentation, and ensure employees adhere to safety procedures
-Monitor customer feedback and implement improvement strategies
-Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
-Monitor social media for Chair 5, in collaboration with the hotel GM’s and marketing assistant
-Strong leadership skills and consistent, high level of execution
-Team player with creative, innovative ideas
-Work closely with hotel GM’s to implement and maintain sales and marketing programs
-Work closely with hotel GM’s to manager food and labor costs in the BOH
-Work closely with hotel GM’s on menu development and staff training
Food and Beverage Director Requirements and Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
-At least 3 years of experience in food and beverage management
-Knowledge of food and beverage safety and sanitation regulations
-Excellent customer service and communication skills
-Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
-Certified food safety manager
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
