Bartender

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team for the opening of a brand new pool hall in Stratford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, particularly in bartending and hospitality. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving drinks, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
• Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing retail math skills for processing payments.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
• Stay updated on drink trends and menu changes to provide informed suggestions to guests.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.

Skills

• Proven experience in bartending (At least 2 years experience)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Proficient in math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
• Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and health regulations within the food industry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
