What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at The Brentwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center?
Full-Time Opening!
Shift: 11am-7pm, some weekdays and every other weekend required
Pay: $17.50 an hour
Activities Assistant Responsibilities
- facilitating daily, weekly and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation for facility residents
- Observing residents throughout the event and assisting with coloring, crafts, and other needs
- Reporting medical concerns to supervisors if needed
- Crafting, coloring, decorating, playing games, etc.
Activities Assistant Requirements:
- Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home with dementia experience preferred.
- An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required.
