JOB SUMMARY :
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for processing and recording payments, processing customer invoices for construction and service billings, and administering the accounts receivable functions within the Accounting department. This position is expected to work with limited oversight; however, will work closely with the Accounting Supervisor to ensure billings and related tasks are processed within the expected timeline.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Process Construction billings- AIA's, job receivable invoices, OAKS billings- also can include running certified payroll reports and submitting them to the customer for prevailing wage projects or uploading into LCPTracker
- Process monthly Service contract billings
- Process Service project billings
- Enter daily cash receipts into COINS program.
- Fax deposits to the bank as needed.
- Process customer credit card payments.
- Review account receivable aging report and contact customers to inquire on payment status of invoice(s).
- Discuss collection problems with the Accounting Supervisor and determine if the customer is to be turned over to the collection agency.
- Print monthly statements from COINS program
- Run credit report on new customers through Experian website.
- Review monthly unapplied payments on account by customer.
- Assist Accounting Supervisor with year-end write offs.
- Provide telephone coverage for the front reception desk during breaks and absences on a rotating schedule and as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned within the scope of this role.
