Job Description: Machine Operator Assistant
Location: The Brickle Group
Position Type: Full-Time
The individual in this position will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials to and from machinery. This includes ensuring that the machine is consistently supplied with the appropriate raw materials for processing and removing finished products to deliver them to the shipping department. The role also involves assisting Machine Operators with loading fiber, removing finished products, and aiding in equipment set-up, changeovers, and cleaning.
Work Schedule:
- Shift: 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM (Monday through Thursday)
- Overtime: Option for overtime available on Fridays
Core Responsibilities:Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hearing protection, eye protection, and safety footwear.
Material Handling:
- Provide necessary materials to machine operators to ensure uninterrupted machine operation.
Assistance with Setup & Cleaning:
- Assist with equipment set-up, changeovers, and ensure proper cleaning of machinery.
- Weigh, strap, bag, and label finished products.
- Support quality control by assisting in in-process inspections.
- Notify the supervisor of any material shortages or other needs.
Inventory Management & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate in-process inventory by labeling work-in-progress (WIP) items in POUT or job packets, ensuring correct material lot numbers and quantities.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment by moving them to the staging area and entering relevant information into POUT.
Material Handling Equipment Operation:
- Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and A-frame jacks.

Bilingual Requirements:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.

- Forklift / Clamp Truck Certified.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred: At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
