Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Assistant Director to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the daily operations of our child care center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Center Director to implement educational programs, manage staff, and foster positive relationships with families and the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall management of the child care center, including staff supervision and training.
- Collaborate with the Center Director to develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of children.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements for child care facilities.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages learning, creativity, and social development among children.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Support staff in developing effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new staff members.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
Experience
- A background in education administration is preferred, with a focus on early childhood education or child development.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
- Previous higher education teaching experience is a plus, particularly within a university or college environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage with children, families, and staff members.
