Through our innovative programs and collaborative partnerships, we are making significant strides toward ending chronic homelessness in Dallas.
SUMMARY.
The Bridge is seeking a passionate and highly experienced Volunteer Coordinator to work with internal and external entities to coordinate, develop, recruit, and increase awareness of The Bridge’s Volunteer & In-kind programs. This position is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, training, managing the recognition program and implementing practices to develop a robust Volunteer and In-kind Donation program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Work with staff members to develop volunteer opportunities that will engage volunteers onsite.
·Oversee the volunteer database (Civic Champs) ensuring information is up to date, volunteer hours tracked, and opportunities are listed for sign up.
·Ensure donors (Raiser’s Edge) & client (Client Track) databases are up to date with volunteer related data entry, including but not limited to volunteer hours and Guest services.
·Coordinate group volunteer assignments - providing training and campus tours to first time groups.
·Problem-solve and address volunteer questions, concerns, complaints, and/or support additional training needs.
·Maintain regular volunteer communication, including informing volunteers on upcoming opportunities, impending campus coverage needs, maintaining monthly calendar with all volunteer activities, distribute notices on campus for announcement purposes.
·Collaborate with community partners, businesses, and individuals to gather donations that align with the organizational needs.
·Work collaboratively with the Community Engagement Manager to plan and execute volunteer appreciation efforts and events throughout the year.
·Process and manage in-kind donations, ensuring inventory is monitored, current, and accurate.
·Respond to all inquiries regarding In-kind and Volunteer within 48 business hours.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
·Associates degree or two years of academic study in Communication, Business, or Marketing.
·Customer Service or relevant work experience.
·1-2 years’ experience in recruiting and overseeing volunteers.
·Project management skills, attention to detail and organization skills.
· Valid driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
·Prior nonprofit experience.
·Volunteer coordination, recruiting, or training experience.
·Knowledge of donors and volunteer databases (Raiser’s Edge, Civic Champ, etc.).
SKILLS:
·Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to engage and motivate volunteers, community members.
·Ability to prioritize strong attention to detail.
·Self-motivated, positive attitude, high energy, and flexibility while working in a dynamic environment.
·Proficiency in using databases, word processing and spreadsheet software.
·Availability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be physically capable of bending, reaching, and moderately lifting (up to 40 pounds).
- Must be able to remain seated or stand at a workstation and/or computer screen for up to two hours at a time.
- Must have at least two years of experience handling computer operations and standard office devices.
Work Location.
- This is a primarily on-site position, with the possibility of remote work.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
