Housing Support Advocate
The Bridge is seeking a Housing Support who will provide transportation, backup supportive services such as assessments, intakes and a small caseload within the residential and non-residential program serving survivors of domestic/sexual violence.
The Housing Support Advocate will be responsible for transporting program participants to and from their appointments and other designated areas. Informing program participants of drop-off and pick-up locations and times. Arriving and departing on-time for every program participant transport. Maintaining the van with cleanliness, gas and inform appropriate staff when there is a need of tires, tune-up etc., utilizing the maintenance request form. Providing program participants and staff with an accurate, timely and clear information regarding agency transportation service. Ensuring that program participants are aware of public transportation options.
Additionally, the Housing Support Advocate will communicate effectively with staff of any issues and or concerns regarding program participants. Ensure hours maintained on Client Agency Activity Report and create narratives for each program participant served in a timely manner. Assist Housing Casework Manager and Children’s Program Manager with scheduling Family Service Plans. Provides crisis intervention and supportive services within the department and answering the 24-hour hotline as needed. Document all services render to program participants. Flexible in meeting program participant, agency and department needs including working evening and weekends

- Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday with a rotating flex day.
- $37,440 annually

Required Skills & Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office suite of programs, specifically MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Must have own reliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required.
- Must pass criminal background investigation check
- Must pass drug screen
- Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
- Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
- Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
Salary : $37,440
