Youth Services Specialist
The Bridge is seeking a Youth Services Specialist who is responsible for the residential and non-residential departments and ensures that services provided address the specialized needs of youth survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness through the delivery of trauma informed care.
The Youth Services Specialist will prepare and provide Orientation to children and families of the agency’s programs by providing information regarding the impact of the domestic violence, minimizing psychological trauma through the delivery of trauma informed care. Coordinate with Residential/Non- Residential Children’s Program Managers and Early Childhood Educators on the delivery of trauma informed care by implementing training and mentoring. Develop individual service plans by assessing children’s development, temperament, coping styles, medical needs, and available support services using independent discretion and utilizing CANS Assessment.
This position involves overseeing the facilitation of family programs by coordinating educational and recreational opportunities for children, youth and families; maintain schedule of events. Preparing and presenting on-going trainings within The Children’s Program, NEO, and as needed in other departments on Trauma and Children Practical Applications. Act as liaison between school district and clients attending the schools to ensure district compliance with the McKinney- Vento Act, providing educational advocacy regarding special education services and addressing behavioral issues with children. Attend and lead community-based meetings and trainings with stake holders.
Oversee case management services to minors residing in emergency, non-emergency and transitional shelter by providing trauma informed support groups. These support groups will consist of: psychoeducation on trauma and the effects of trauma, life skills, peer counseling, social emotional learning, cognitive regulation, affect regulation, attention control, and relaxation techniques to youth effected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault.
Additional, the Youth Services Specialist will be responsible for preparing program reports by documenting outcomes of direct services to residents/ nonresidents in compliance with grant objectives. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and legal advocacy and program development; review of professional publications; establishing professional networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional organizations. Provide crisis intervention and referral by answering 24-hour hotline, and as needed and supporting departmental needs. Provide On-Call Back up coverage for Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Accompaniments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full Time/Non-Exempt: 36-hours a week
- Grant funding ends June 30, 2026
- Schedule: 4/10 hour days, primarily between Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
- $55,000 annually

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Masters level and (2) years’ experience providing child advocacy.
- CANS Certified, or be willing to work towards this certification (employer paid).
- Working towards TF-CBT training within 12 months.
- Trust-based Relational Intervention Practitioner within 12 months.
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred
- Bilingual; English/Spanish, preferred not required.
- Must pass criminal background investigation check
- Must pass drug screen
- Must provide and maintain current TX Driver’s License
- Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
- Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting.
Salary : $55,000
