What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at The Bridger Group?
We are working with one of the top 10 wall and ceiling specialty contractors in the US to find an Estimator for their growing team! This is an employee-owned company with a generous compensation package. This individual will read blueprints and perform takeoffs and work hand in hand with the sales team on large commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and present building estimates and feasibility studies.
- Maintain knowledge of architectural design and planning principles and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and/or supervision to architects, structural engineers, and independent building contractors.
- Read schematics, blueprints, and/or technical manuals.
- Negotiate and manage contractual arrangements.
- Assess contract compliance and product/service quality.
- Perform site inspections and/or approve installations.
Requirements:
- Prior knowledge of construction techniques and scheduling of purchases
- Knowledge of building components life cycle values and maintenance requirements
- Skills in workflow analysis and management
- Understanding of contract documents and specifications
- Prior knowledge of the operating practices of construction, architectural, and building firms
- Understanding of federal, state and local building codes, ordinances, and regulations
