What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at The Bridger Group?
We are working with a leading manufacturer in Elizabethton, TN. They are looking for a Production Manager to join their team. This person would oversee production for the facility as well as continuous improvement initiatives and manage 50 direct reports. They are looking for someone that embraces lean transformation through education of self and direct reports, kaizen concepts, visual management tools, and root cause problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Train team members to understand and facilitate daily start-up processes.
- Drive operational excellence using Lean tools, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Support the ongoing development of a continuous improvement culture for the Value Stream.
- Study existing processes to identify opportunities to drive out waste and improve profitability and process efficiency within the Value Stream.
- Provide relevant training and coaching to ensure employees are effective at meeting daily production goals and providing the best product for our customer.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in production management
- Practical experience in leading teams, lean manufacturing, and quality improvement
- Ability to motivate, lead, communicate, and coach Value Stream employees
- Effective project management skills
- Proven track record of creating, implementing, building, and sustaining an effective Value Stream work environment
