Job Description

Immediate opening for a licensed nurse to work in an outpatient drug rehabilitation program. The Brighton Center, Inc is a fully licensed and accredited program in Genoa Township that offers outpatient drug treatment, to persons with Opioid Use Disorder.

Individual must have a current license in the state of Michigan LARA. Excellent opportunity for a retiree or someone who only wants to work a few hours a day.

The Nurse is responsible for administering medication to patients and reviewing computer-generated dispensing records for accuracy. Additionally, the nurse assists the Medical Director in outpatient admission activities and will work in a multi-disciplinary team setting that includes substance abuse counselors, nurses, and physician.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Using a computerized dispensing system to administer medication as ordered by the Medical Director.
• Observe and assess patients after their medication is administered.
• Manage clinic medication inventory per company policy, Board of Pharmacy and DEA Standards.
• Receive medication shipments and enter it into the computer dispensing system.
• Maintain accurate patient dosing records and inventory records, including reconciliation of computer and manual daily dispensing data.
• Able to develop and maintain professional relationships with patients.-collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures, such as collection of drug testing
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, and safe storage of medications.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control program.
• Experience in primary care, critical care, or other relevant healthcare settings.
• Strong care skills, including the ability to assess consumers
• Participate in trainings relative to SUD and Recipient Rights, staff meetings, and utilization reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have a current Michigan License.

• Associate (Preferred)

LARA License/Certification (required):

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Valid RN or LPN
