The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with a focus on risk management will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while mitigating risks within the facility. This role involves identifying potential risks, developing and implementing risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. The ADON will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a safe and effective care environment. This position requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to effectively address risk-related issues and implement preventative measures in the nursing home setting.
ADON Responsibilities
- We are looking to hire a highly motivated Assistant Director of Nursing with a risk management background.
- Will assist in investigations, falls, and injuries of unknown origin.
- Must be able to meet deadlines for projects and for reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
- This is a salaried position that must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Nurse-On-Call on a rotational basis (Every other weekend)
ADON preferred Requirements
- Valid RN nursing license
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate Point Click Care software
- Valid CPR & IV Certification
- Clinical Leadership experience required
- AHCA AIRS Reportable
