The dietary aide works with the facility’s Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implements recommended changes as required. Performs other duties, as assigned.
Ensures that food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
The dietary aide assists with the service and delivery of food trays to designated areas, cleaning of the kitchen per established protocols, and proper washing and cleaning of food utensils and dishes.
Prepares and delivers snacks as directed.
Summary
As a Dietary Aide, you will be essential in supporting the dietary department by preparing and serving nutritious meals while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met. Reporting to the Dietary Manager, you will utilize your core skills in food handling and customer service to enhance the dining experience for residents. Your premium experience in assisted living or healthcare settings will be valuable in understanding dietary needs. With relevant skills in meal preparation, you will contribute to the overall well-being of those we serve, fostering a positive and healthy environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and handling
- Strong customer service skills, particularly in healthcare settings
- Previous work as a dietary aide or in a similar role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
- Time management skills to ensure timely meal service
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
