Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and take a lead role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including managing key aspects of our exciting new tower project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following list outlines the primary responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the needs of the hotel.
- Completes assigned work orders for general repairs within the designated time frame to achieve the utmost operational efficiency of the hotel, its safety, and its equipment.
- Help with coordinating new tower projects, including managing shipments, installations, and the setup of fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
- Performs systematic checks and inspections to aid in the upkeep of the hotel and assists in the proactive maintenance program to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns, and general depreciation.
- Immediately and courteously responds to guest needs to resolve room maintenance requests and problems as they arise.
- Maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment in safe, secure, and good condition to reduce accidents and prolong their use.
- Repairs and/or changes room locks for the security of the hotel and its guests.
- Adjusts and repairs electronic problems on hotel equipment, including televisions, , HVAC units, and other guestroom amenities.
- Assists the department in maintaining safety equipment and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all guests and associates.
- Removes snow and clears sidewalks and driveways as weather dictates for guest safety.
- Contacts, by telephone or written correspondence, electrical, plumbing, and elevator contractors for the repair/maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment.
- Runs errands as needed, driving a personal vehicle, to drop off and pick up supplies, equipment, and furnishings.
- Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the hotel.
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous manner at all times to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Adheres to all property and brand policies, including dress code, safety, and performance standards, as outlined in the employee handbook and Hilton standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or a related field; hotel experience preferred.
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and local building codes.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
