Job Description
Job Title : Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Job Specialty : Nursing
Job Duration : 13 Weeks
Shift : Days - 3 days per week & every other weekend required, 3x11.50 hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours : 34.50 hours per week
Experience : Some preferred, but not required
License : Registered Nurse (RN)
Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Must-Have : BSN prepared, minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, ability to use electronic record systems, and knowledge of interventional and diagnostic procedures
Job Description :
- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care.
- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate care provided to assigned patients.
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems through case finding, health teaching, and counseling.
- Supervise patient care provided by LPNs, RNPs, nursing attendants, technicians, and supplemental staff.
- Assess the immediate and continuing care needs of patients and significant others.
- Develop comprehensive care plans including physical needs, patient teaching, discharge planning, and psychosocial / spiritual needs.
- Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and the medical regimen.
- Oversee and ensure the provision of care for patients.
- Observe, evaluate, document, and communicate patient responses to illness and treatment.
- Ensure timely reassessment and follow-up of patient responses to treatment and significant changes in condition.
- Coordinate the overall plan of care to ensure consistency with the medical regimen.
- Set priorities for care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Integrate age-specific care needs into the plan of care.
- Accept accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care delivery.
- Communicate effectively, manage stress appropriately, and facilitate interpersonal relationships with other disciplines.
