What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solutions Specialist position at The Brothers that just do Gutters?
Essential Function: To sell the company’s services to the public to generate a quality product for the client and profit for the company.
1. Communication:
· Communicates regularly with the president, staff, and field personnel, working cooperatively to develop the most effective methods and systems for growing the business.
· Maintains company reputation of integrity and professionalism by professionally communicating with clients, being punctual for appointments, returning phone calls promptly, etc.
· Assures that crew leaders are informed of all job-related information (e.g., job colors, job scopes, scheduling, billing, etc.)
· Maintains open communication with junior head installers, head installers, crew leaders, and field supervisors to remain knowledgeable about jobs and teams.
· Communicate with all employees positively and respectfully.
· Set and achieve sales volumes, closing rates, and gross profit goals.
2. Sales and Estimating Responsibilities
· Attends all estimates on time.
· Calls all clients before arriving at an estimate
· Prices new opportunities while meeting with the client at current production rates.
· If the estimate is not left during the initial visit, the client must receive it within 24 hours of the on-site visit.
· Returns incoming phone calls professionally and within eight business hours of the call.
· Provides product differentiation and solutions to clients throughout the selling process. (This assists clients in understanding exactly what they are paying for and why the product is superior.)
· Effectively sells the company’s services to clients in a competitive atmosphere by understanding their needs and selling to satisfy those needs.
· It helps jobs stay “happy and under.”
· Follow up consistently on all open bids, and get a “yes” or a “no” on all bids.
· Strive to target and market the most profitable jobs
· Sells only what the client asks for. Upgrade after having a signed contract for the “low-hanging fruit.”
· Prioritizes work and actions to achieve established sales goals (see next page)
· Maintain a closing and dollars sold percentage of at least 45%. The closing ratio is expected to climb significantly over time.
· Develops a well-thought-out prospecting plan focusing on generating leads for the company.
· Participates in networking groups to establish business relationships and promote the company.
· It stops regularly at prominent potential clients or sites where gutter damage is evident or gutter-related services, such as roofing or siding, are being performed.
· Sales tracking worksheets are completed in their entirety before every sales meeting.
· ABILITY TO GENERATE YOUR LEADS, TYPICALLY WITH BUILDERS, CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES AND ROOFERS. “A MUST”
3. Management Team Responsibilities.
· Demonstrates positive leadership through all actions with all employees.
· Attends all meetings on time and participates.
· Works the necessary hours per week and performs all duties and responsibilities promptly.
· Assists in developing and implementing new systems, helping maintain and increase the company’s profitability and organization as it changes and grows.
· Assists in problem-solving and implementing solutions.
· Participates in planning company growth and development and supports company mission by following through on initiatives.
· The ideal candidate would have 2 years of experience in an outside sales position, experience in construction, gutter, or roofing, and the ability to work independently.
Pay Structure for Solutionist® (Sales Associate)
Status Pay Commission Holidays Sick/ Vacation Fuel/ Vehicle Reimbursement
Full-Time $550.00 per week. base salary 5% of all sales plus bonuses 7 Holidays. 2 week of sick & 1 week Vacation after 1 year. Company car & gas card
We will work together to devise a “sales cookbook” and set goals. Many variables depend on the month you were hired and the seasonality of the business. We expect our Solutionists to sell over $1 million in revenue each business year. We strive as a company to continually improve our compensation packages and create opportunities for you to earn more based on your performance. Typical salespeople can make anywhere from $60,000 to over $100,000, depending on your book of business
