What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Sales Manager position at The Brown Hotel?
The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in the Weddings and Social markets.
Essential functions of this position:
Build rapport with clients, qualify their needs, sell the appropriate services to serve their needs, accurately produce contracts and banquet event orders. Will communicate and follow-up with clients in-person, via phone and written correspondence. Greet clients and oversee functions as necessary. This position will ensure that operations and event management has all the information needed to adequately service our groups. Participate banquet event order meetings and pre-convention meetings. Work closely with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
Prefer no less than 2 years of experience in a Catering or Hotel Sales management position.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Aggressive, outgoing and self-motivating individual with a professional appearance and pleasant personality.
Solid knowledge of all MS Office programs, experience with Ivy or Delphi software is a definite plus.
