Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for taking care of our clients needs when visiting our Spa. The duties of the position are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
JOB SUMMARY
The Brownwood Hotel and Spa Concierge plays an important role in support of several vital spa functions. At our property the concierge team work to build an experience that is memorable and unique – with spa services on the side. Our Spa Concierge takes the initiative and delivers a wide range of services to make sure that guests and clients enjoy their experience. Whether promoting Spa services or retail, scheduling reservations and confirming appointments, maintaining the guest areas, providing answers about services, checking in guests, or processing payments, the Spa Concierge makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist Spa Manager/Spa Supervisor in principle duties.
- Promptly and professional answers the phone.
- Effectively and efficiently books appointments.
- Greets guests as they enter the spa.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures, and all requisite cash handling procedures.
- Efficiently and effectively checks guests in and out for appointments.
- Responsible for escorting guests to their appropriate service area, locker room, massage area, salon etc.
- Understands and applies the sales process.
- Understands and applies strategic sales offerings (dues/cash, auto renewable, etc.)
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the spa.
- Maintains guest files.
- Makes appointment reminder calls daily.
- Balance sales reports and end of day closing duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understands, believes in and upholds the Brownwood Spa’s Vision and Core Values.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Must be able to work independently as well as work well with others.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be extremely computer savvy (Microsoft Word, Publisher, Outlook, Express, Excel).
- Previous knowledge of Book4Time, Booker or Spa Soft preferred.
- Previous spa experience preferred.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent client care, service excellence, and attention to detail.

- Must be able to interact professionally and with sensitivity to the needs of the guests and co-workers.

PHYSICAL ENVIORNMENT
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.

- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the spa, including weekends and holidays.
