The Bryant Park Hotel has a wonderful opportunity in our luxuriously chic cocktail lounge for a “Bar Manager (Part-Time)”.
We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual with bar/lounge management experience for our Bar. The Bar Manager (P/T) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operation on assigned shifts (usually Monday and Tuesday evenings) with a primary focus on service standards. The normal work week would include one to two shifts per week, with Saturdays as a regularly scheduled shift.
Essential functions of the position include but are not limited.
- Directs and organizes the activities of the Celon and Events to maintain the high standard of food and beverage quality and service
- Ensures effective controls of beverage and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. You must also hold a food safety permit.
- Must have experience as a cocktail bartender and be able to fill in as such when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the establishment.
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills
- Anticipate and accommodate needs of the guests.
- Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
- Responsible for reconciling end of shift financials
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
- Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.
- Must be present on the floor always engaging with team and guests during service.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30-$32 per hour based on experience level
Expected hours: 16 per week (usually Mondays and Tuesdays)
Salary : $30 - $32
