Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

The Bryer Company is a growing and dynamic regional manufacturer of commercial metal roofing and siding, seeking a motivated and talented individual to immediately fill the position of Operations Supervisor.

This position requires a hands-on approach with the successful candidate actively leading our warehouse team in daily activities, reporting to and working closely with the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of 5 to 7 personnel in shipping/receiving, packaging, logistics and inventory control

· Work efficiently in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment

· Coordinate schedules for order flow, shipping and local route trucks

· Communicate effectively with the Sales Dept. to manage order change requests and shipping requirements

· Create and promote continuous process improvements to ensure on-going efficiency

· Build and participate in a positive, cohesive team environment

· Maintain accurate shipping and quality control records

· Back-up and assist in all plant activities including as needed

Experience & Education Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED, required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, a plus

· 3 years in a manufacturing or production environment, required

· 1 years leadership in management and/or supervisory roles, required

· Hands-on experience with implementing operational processes

· Forklift certified, a plus

· Shop fabrication/mechanical background, a plus

Qualifications & Skills:

· Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop a strong team environment

· Proven problem solver with procedural development skills to drive continuous improvement

· Basic computer skills including Windows programs – Outlook, Word and Excel

· Extremely reliable and hard-working

· High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Ability to lift 75 pounds

· Drug-free

Additional Details:

· Full-time, Hourly position

· Standard shop hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
