What You’ll Do
- Assess prospective foster parent candidates and licensed foster parents to determine their ability to meet all legal requirements of ODJFS and accrediting bodies.
- Gauge the safety and stability of children in foster placement.
- Identify the child’s emotional, physical, social, and educational needs in collaboration with the child’s treatment team.
- Facilitate relationships between birth parents and foster families when appropriate.
- Adapt services, including evidence-based inter-professional team approaches, to the language, cultural norms, and individual preferences of healthcare consumers and family members.
- Empower, support, and mentor parents and children.
- Provide documentation in accordance with standards of practice and established policies and procedures of the Ranch and accrediting and regulatory standards.
- Deliver brief, trauma-informed, problem-oriented treatment for mental conditions or problematic health behaviors.

Who you are:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a human services related field.
- You have previous foster care working experience.
- You preferably have an active Ohio LSW or LPC.
- You have an active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
