The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Legal Liaison to join our Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN). The Legal Liaison will attend Franklin County Juvenile Court on a regular basis, including specialty docket cases such as JU Recovery Court, Family Recovery Court, Empowerment Court, and Mental Health Court; provide PFSN recommendations on child abuse, neglect, and dependency cases as well as delinquency cases. The position provides administrative support to the Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN) legal team. Duties include drafting child abuse, neglect and dependency motions and complaints; perfecting service; verifying court orders in Franklin County Juvenile System (“FCJS”).

What You’ll Do
- Verify court orders through FCJS and status of case opening and assigned worker through SACWIS.
- Maintain monthly legal statistics.
- Match CARR forms with legal files.
- Assist PFSN attorneys with trial preparation and legal training.
- Draft and e-file abuse, neglect, and dependency complaints, to include re-filings, motions, Notice of Proceeding in Indian Child Welfare Act (“ICWA”) cases when applicable, reasonable efforts findings and school district liability entries.
- Request and/or verify service has been requested on all PFSN motions and complaints.
- Review the legal file and FCJS to ensure that service is perfected on all PFSN cases.
- E-mail the case worker and PFSN attorneys as to the status of service prior to the next court hearing.

Who you are:
- You have a bachelor’s degree
- You preferably have juvenile court experience.
- You have an active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
