What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transitional Age Youth Caseworker position at The Buckeye Ranch?
The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Transitional Age Youth Caseworker to join our Shared Services department. The TAY Caseworker provides all youth aged 14 and older in custody of PFSN with independent living services to prepare them for the transition from agency custody to self-sufficiency. TAY caseworker is skilled in areas such as academic support, career preparation, workforce development, financial management, home management/maintenance, health and risk prevention, and relationship/communication skills. The TAY caseworker will assist youth with linkage to community services that support self- sufficiency. The caseworker visits youth as frequently as needed either in the home or in the community.

What youll do:
- Assess clients for appropriate level of care. Assesses behavioral examples, including frequency, duration, severity, and environmental impacts.
- Identify cultural factors that influence strengths, functioning, and family interaction styles. Identifies history of trauma, adversity and/or toxic stress that influence presenting problem(s), functioning, and family interaction styles. Identifies strengths and functioning of both client and family for utilization in treatment.
- Work with placement providers on ensuring quality independent living skills to PFSN Youth.
- Work with PFSN management to ensure all contracted providers are providing services as outlined in their contract regarding transition age services.
- Link service recipients and making referrals to community services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with representatives of social welfare agencies (public and private.)
- Make home visits to youth in PFSN custody who are in the homes of relative or non-relative caregivers as well as foster homes and residential facilities.

Who you are:
- You have a bachelors degree.
- You have at least one year of child welfare working experience.
- You have an active drivers license and proof of auto insurance.
