Key Relationships:
This position reports to the Bordpak Lead and Manufacturing Manager. Utilizes the direction of the Engineering and Sales Dept. Interacts with other Bordpak employees. If work is slow in bordpak, may work in other departments.

production: In bordpak is to pick, assemble, and prepare orders for shipment. A key component of this position is to verify that all product being shipped to customers meets Buckeye quality standards. You may also operate production machines or assist in other departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Specific Departmental Essential Functions:
- Analyzes production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be gathered and packed.
- Compares incoming parts to blueprint for accuracy.
- Assembles customer orders from stock or inventory shelf.
- When necessary sets-up and operates Bord-Pak finishing machines.
- Identifies and inserts any added value to parts (ex. pem nuts, standoffs, vinyl strips, etc.)
- Inspects finished product.
- May assemble pre-cut, standard and/or building of non-standard crates or cartons.
- Pack product per work orders/instructions. Fold, stack, or otherwise neatly arrange articles in a container using paper or other packing material as necessary to prevent breakage or damage.
- Transports packaged orders to shipping for immediate shipment.
- Distributes products from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. (Determines where parts need processed before shipment.)
- Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly. Sorts and places products on rack, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- May also operate production machines or assist in other departments as needed.

Specific Organizational Essential Functions:
- Follows all company procedures, policies, work instructions, and safety
program. Actively ensures all aspects of compliance with AS9100.
- Maintains current knowledge of all the safety risks in the workplace.
- Completes necessary reports/paperwork.
- Ability to learn quickly with willingness to cross train.
- Utilizes all PPE as needed/assigned for particular job or job duty
assigned.
- Performs routine maintenance duties to ensure that the work areas are
neat, clean and orderly at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attends required or assigned staff development sessions.
- Participates in formal and informal continuous improvement efforts.
- Promotes continuous improvement suggestions to appropriate area of
responsibility for consideration and feedback.
- Reports all unsafe equipment or hazards to the appropriate
lead/manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three months experience in similar position.
- Mathematical skills as related to the position.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
- Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in all aspects of position.
- Ability to understand BSF processes.
- Ability to use standard keyboard and to work with a computer, monitor, or screen.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/sit for a minimum of 10 hours (per workday).
- Ability to work under time pressure for 10 hours (per workday).
- Ability to work rapidly for 2-hour blocks of time within the workday.
- Ability to work in varying degrees of hot/cold temperatures.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, turn, and lift.
- Ability to continuously lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. And occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
