As a Hydro Blaster Technician, you'll operate high-pressure water blasting equipment ranging from 1,000 to a powerful 40,000 PSI to clean customer equipment, booths, tanks, and structures. From setup to shutdown, your job is all about blasting away dirt and doing it safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Low Pressure Hydro-Blasting (< 5,000 PSI):
Set up, inspect, and operate low-pressure hydro-blast equipment like a boss.
Communicate with your team and customers before and after each job.
Use proper PPE and safety equipment (you'll be trained, don’t worry).
Adjust nozzle settings and clean like a pro.
Return all tools and equipment back to their home when you're done (organization is key!).
High Pressure Hydro-Blasting (up to 40,000 PSI):
Suit up and take on big jobs with serious PSI power.
Evaluate equipment safety and perform all necessary checks pre- and post-operation.
Adjust pressure settings to get the job done right without overdoing it.
Apply the right blasting techniques to achieve a deep clean without damaging surfaces.
Communicate and coordinate with your team and customers like a true professional.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
Perform regular safety checks and basic maintenance on the gear.
Know how to identify and troubleshoot performance issues.
Use the right tools to make adjustments and repairs.
Safely shut down and store equipment post-job.
Qualifications & Skills:
6 months of pressure washer experience.
Comfortable handling up to 40,000 PSI—yes, it's a beast.
Physically strong enough to lift 50 lbs and control high-pressure tools in various standing positions.
Able to follow directions and safety protocols, including the use of special PPE.
Team player with a can-do attitude.
Certifications Required (or willingness to get them):
Confined Space Training
Lockout/Tagout Procedures
High-Capacity Pressure Washer Safety Certification
Physical Demands:
You'll wear a reinforced water-resistant safety suit to protect against high-pressure streams (yes, it’s a bit like armor).
Must be able to walk or stand for long stretches, and bend, stoop, or lift when needed.
Expect to work in heavy industrial environments and tight spaces at times.
