Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Operations
Support the Branch Manager in ensuring branch employees deliver exceptional customer service, including resolving issues, engaging with customers, and managing telephone interactions.
Contribute to developing and maintaining the branch’s operational strategy.
Exercise independent judgment and decision-making to address various challenges, such as approving pricing for time-and-materials (T&M) work, additional billing hours, and subcontracting needs.
Oversee branch operations in the absence or at the request of the Branch Manager.
Human Resource Management
Assist in coaching, training, and developing team members to reach their full potential.
Provide consistent feedback on employee performance, including conducting reviews to track sales goals and overall effectiveness.
Help maintain accurate records of employee performance, attendance, and other HR-related documentation.
Recommend and/or assist with disciplinary actions, promotions, transfers, and other personnel decisions.
Lead recruitment efforts within the market as assigned by the Branch or Regional Manager.
Sales, Marketing, and Financial Performance
Actively participate in and contribute to branch sales and marketing initiatives to drive growth.
Train, motivate, and coach employees to effectively use The Budd Group’s sales process to promote and sell additional contract services and T&M offerings.
Assist in managing branch receivables, including negotiating payment plans, collecting overdue accounts, and preparing write-offs for uncollectible accounts.
Supervise and train team members in branch accounting procedures, including accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable processes.
Operations Management and Maintenance
Support the Branch Manager in evaluating operational efficiency and resource utilization.
Assist in implementing and managing branch safety programs and policies.
Ensure daily payroll reconciliation is completed accurately.
Oversee maintenance and repairs of equipment, including preventative maintenance measures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years of management experience in a B2B service industry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
