Job Summary: This position is responsible for creating and providing an exceptional member and guest experience by providing thoughtful food and beverage service.
General Requirements:
- Complies and carries out job within the spirit of The Buffalo Club's Vision & Values.
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with The
Buffalo Club's appearance standards.
- Interact with the members and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Perform all work in accordance to safety standards and guidelines.
- Report any incidents or injuries to the supervisor immediately.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide Food and Beverage service including but not limited to; greeting members and guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages
- Entering orders into POS system and accurately charging appropriate member account.
- Provide tables with specials and/or recommendations when appropriate.
- Provide attentive service ensuring all needs are met including but not limited to full water glasses, cleared/neat table, and following the sequence of service.
- To rectify, in a timely manner, any issues or concerns and/or ability to escalate to appropriate leadership.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively and professionally.
- Side work including but not limited to rolling silverware, setting tables, filling condiments, etc. before end of shift.
- Bussing tables and clearing trays in dish pit.
- Attend all required lineups, meetings or trainings.
- Carry out role reflecting The Buffalo Club Vision and Mission.
- Other duties as directed by management/leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Guest service experience preferred. Private club/country club experience strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work varied hours, including weekends, weekdays, holidays and evenings as needed.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 30lbs over a course of a shift (trays).
- Must be able to periodically lift and carry up to 50 lbs. over the course of a shift.
- Will be occasionally required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
- Must be able to continuously stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
- Must have ability to perform continuous repetitive motions.
Job Type: Part-time
