Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Doorman to join our team at a prestigious hi-rise building. As part of the Local 1 Union, you will be working in a dynamic and rewarding environment, providing top-notch service to residents and guests. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience in a similar role.
Important Schedule and Hours details about this position:
- Work one day per week from 12:00am to 8:00am throughout the year.
- Would provide vacation relief to other door staff. At this time that would be approximately 24 weeks a year. We are looking for a qualified and reliable candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet residents, guests, and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist residents with deliveries, packages, and requests.
- Ensure the security of the building by monitoring entrances and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness in the building’s common areas, including lobby, elevators, and hallways.
- Monitor building security systems and report any unusual activity or safety concerns.
- Respond to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with various building operations as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a doorman or similar customer-facing role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of basic security practices for hi-rise buildings.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional at all times.
- Must be a member of or willing to join Local 1 Union.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions for outdoor duties.
