Job Description

The Buncher Company is a Pittsburgh, PA construction and real estate company with work sites throughout the surrounding area. We are looking for a motivated Laborer to join our team!

Compensation : 18 hourly

Responsibilities :

Load, unload and prepare any tools or materials on site that will be used to complete the build, so the crew can operate efficiently
Remove any trash, debris or hazardous materials from the area to prep the site before construction begins
Ensure that all materials, tools and other debris from the build have been removed at the end of the project to make sure the work site is clean
Assist tradespeople and heavy equipment workers with plumbing, electrical, roofing, and other trade work as needed
Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site to ensure that you and your team members are not injured
Perform physical labor at construction projects related to new construction, demolition, and renovation
Assist with forming and filling foundations
Demolition work
Preparing and installing door frames
General cleaning of work sites
Loading and unloading
Assist other workers such as Electricians, Carpenters, Operators, and Superintendents

Qualifications :

Must be able to take direction, work well independently and as part of a team for efficiency and productivity

Some experience using construction equipment, forklift, hand tools, and power tools highly preferred

Knowledge of basic engineering and construction laborer methods is preferred, but we will provide training

A high school diploma or GED is preferred

This work requires physical agility, solid hand-eye coordination, and a good sense of balance

One year of labor experience related to construction is required

Driver's license and ability to travel between work sites is required

Must have the ability to carry out basic verbal and written correspondence, instructions, rules, policies

Must be able to perform basic arithmetic in order to complete job tasks

Must be able to use measuring devices such as tapes and gauges
