Position Title: Marketing Manager
Department: Communications, Conference Development & Membership
Salary: $55,000 to $65,000
Job Overview:
The Business Council of New York State, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and creative marketing professional skilled in the strategy and design of compelling messaging that delivers results. The Marketing Manager will produce professional content in a fast-paced environment to engage our membership, expand our reach, and build the brand reputation of The Business Council of New York State and its affiliates.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Highly organized self-starter with strong project management skills.
- Experience with graphics creation in Adobe programs and email marketing platform Mail Chimp preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate or advanced level.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software a plus.
- Moderate travel required.
- Some irregular hours.
- Full-time position, (in office at least four days a week and one day per week remote).
Job Responsibilities:
- Active team participant in developing marketing strategies, goals, and materials for all aspects of BCNYS.
- Create and schedule compelling and effective email and social media content based on a predetermined calendar of events.
- Manage social media platforms and engage with stakeholders.
- Develop and implement new marketing and communication materials for all aspects of BCNYS.
- Assist in developing and implementing new member recruitment and retention brochures and handouts, creating slide presentations, and email marketing campaigns.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies and materials for BCNYS and its targeted media campaigns for BCNYS affiliates and stakeholders.
- Assist in promoting association messaging already in place, including podcasts and other materials meant for promoting association messaging.
- Conceptualize and produce strong communications in support of association events and programs, including marketing collateral, web content, social media posts (event and membership related, including welcoming new members), and event communication.
- Work closely with the Events and Communication Directors on designing and preparing event promotional material, e-mail marketing, sponsorship solicitation, event brochures, program books, signage, and audio-visual productions.
- Responsible for creating and updating content for websites.
- Maintain and coordinate mailing lists for events and member & government records in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Execute mail merges through CRM.
