About the Company:
The C. W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Tech who will work under the direction of the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager to process and fill prescriptions. Must be detail-oriented and reliable, possessing excellent communication skills and aptitude in using computers and pharmacy software. Requires the willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
About the Role:
Preparation of medications for patients, Receiving and verifying the prescriptions, Pricing and filling of prescriptions, Obtaining pharmacist's approval, Completing patient paperwork related to the filling of prescription, Assisting with insurance claims processing (usually a pharmacist will handle this, but assistant's help will be needed - the entire process is done online), Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory, Ensuring availability of drugs by delivering them to patients or facilities, Maintaining pharmacy's (and its patients' employees') safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies, and regulations
Responsibilities:
- 1-year previous experience as Pharmacy Technician
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent Math skills
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite Programs
Required Skills:
